Many of us may take for granted having access to a grocery store, having the money to buy food for our families, much less healthy foods. But Arkansas has one of the highest rates of food insecurity in the nation. From children to older adults hunger is a frequent reality for many Arkansans. Today we will be talking about hunger in Arkansas with two guests, Melvin Clayton, Racial Equity Director at Arkansas Advocates and Tomiko Townley, Governmental Advocacy Director at Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance.
