Arkansas has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the country, and maternal health has become a major topic of discussion around the state. It is more important than ever to listen to pregnant women, mothers, and health care providers. Join us for a screening of the short documentary, Giving Birth in America, which highlights their firsthand accounts. We will follow the film with a storytelling event where you can hear people’s different experiences of maternal health in Arkansas. At the end of the event, you will walk away with a deeper understanding of what it is like to give birth in Arkansas.
