Before you get started, here are three quick things you need to know:
- Public Schools serve nearly all Arkansas children. During the 2013-2014 school year, 95.7 percent of all K-12 students attended public schools.
- Investments in education are constitutionally required. Arkansas’s constitution requires the state to “adopt all suitable means to secure to the people the advantages and opportunities of education.”
- It is a significant part of our state’s budget. We have a free school system because we spend 42 cents of every tax dollar on public education in Arkansas.
